Who uses Screen Soft Light
Remote workers who need better webcam lighting for Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. Content creators shooting selfies, TikToks and YouTube videos. Makeup artists and skincare enthusiasts who need accurate mirror light. Product photographers lighting small items for ecommerce. Students and professionals who read at night without harsh overhead light. And anyone who needs to test a screen for dead pixels or color accuracy.
Your display emits broad-spectrum light from millions of pixels.
Your display emits broad-spectrum light from millions of pixels. By controlling the color, intensity and distribution of those pixels, we turn the screen into a tunable light panel. The radial gradient creates a softer center-weighted pattern instead of a flat white rectangle, and the color temperature slider shifts output between warm candlelight tones and cool daylight. The result is front fill light that wraps naturally across your face or subject.
Built for privacy
Screen Soft Light runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no server-side processing and no data uploads. The optional camera preview uses your device camera for a local-only feed that is never recorded or transmitted. Your lighting preferences are stored in local browser storage and never leave your device.
Why it is free
Good lighting should not be locked behind expensive hardware. The tool is supported by advertising, which lets us keep it free for everyone. We believe the best tools are the ones people actually have access to, and a browser tab is the most accessible lighting tool there is.
