A countdown you can read from across the room
Phone and watch timers are built for the person holding the device. This one is built for a screen everyone can see: the digits scale with the window, fullscreen removes the browser around them, and the progress bar along the top shows how much of the time is gone at a glance. Put it on a laptop at the front of a meeting, a tablet on a kitchen counter or a TV connected to a computer.
Browsers slow down timers in tabs you are not looking at, which is why some web countdowns drift.
Browsers slow down timers in tabs you are not looking at, which is why some web countdowns drift. This timer stores the moment the countdown should end and checks the real clock against it, so a five-minute timer ends five minutes after you press Start even if you switched to another tab in between.
No app, no account, nothing saved
The timer runs entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-in, and the alarm is generated by the browser's audio engine rather than downloaded, so it works the moment the page loads.
